The US has 11 Federal Holidays a year as designated by the U.S. Federal Reserve System (The Fed).
A list of the US Federal Holidays
New Years Day

Third Monday in January
Third Monday in February
Last Monday in May
First Monday in September
Second Monday in October
Fourth Thursday in November
All our bank transfers (ACH) rely on The Fed, and won’t be processed on a Federal Holiday. Payments to vendors via Melio that are scheduled for a Federal Holiday or the following 3 days, will be delayed by one day. Transactions completed online that day will not be processed until the next business day. We suggest scheduling payments a few days early when a Federal Holiday is coming up.
Federal Holidays that fall on a Saturday or Sunday
Five Federal Holidays have fixed dates and occasionally fall on a weekend. If the Holiday falls on a Sunday, it’s observed on the following Monday. When the Holiday falls on a Saturday, the Fed does not observe it on the Friday before, although some banks may be closed.
